THE COMPANY.

The history of Borgna Vetri began in the 1960s, in a small artisan glass processing atelier. Thanks to a series of far-sighted choices and constant attention to technical, aesthetic and organizational innovations, Borgna Vetri has become a reference point in the field of industrial glass processing, with activities strongly rooted in the Italian territory and projects abroad, in Europe and overseas.
THE NEED.
Borgna Vetri, as a result of increased production activity, increased product lines and the opening of new international locations, approached Versya with the need to:
- Better manage data from multiple production sites, optimizing their management
- Unify the flow of data by implementing a state-of-the-art information system
- Improve business digitization
- Fostering the interconnection of processes
THE SOLUTION.
In response to this stimulating challenge, Versya proposed:
- AdeMES – Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) from Trizeta
State-of-the-art warehouse management software.
MES and WMS have been integrated with Wolters Kluwer’s Arca Evolution ERP, management software installed and managed by Versya for quite some time.
The AdeMES solution enables the management of structured and unstructured job information from the ERP to the edge of the machine, ensuring the traceability of the entire flow and the alignment of stock in the warehouse with the ERP.
Finally, the proposed solutions, in line with Industry 4.0, enable the two-way flow of information from machines to ERP and vice versa.
THE RESULT.
The introduction of MES and WMS interfaced with Arca has eased the learning curve and reduced the time it takes to get the tools up and running, enabling close monitoring of all production activity and cost centers, in real time and multi-location.
A competitive advantage, which has improved the digitization and interconnection of business processes and promises to continue to do so.
