SYS-DAT Group offers highly innovative IT solutions for all its clients’ processes. To date, it is a Group of 14 companies distributed throughout the country, with more than 480 employees, representing the most important assets, and having both technological and application expertise. Together with Matteo Neuroni, CEO of SYS-DAT Group<\/strong>, we took stock of the company’s proposal and strategy in the aftermath of its IPO last July 2. <\/p>\n\n “Sys-Dat is one of Italy’s very first software houses: important roots that represent our foundation but, at the same time, allow us to pursue our mission of always looking ahead<\/em>,” Neuroni began. ” Today Sys-Dat is a group consisting of 14 companies and with 480 employees: a well-established reality that develops proprietary software solutions, offering deep sectorial expertise and extraordinary flexibility, elements that allow us to stand out in the market<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n What is Sys-Dat’s strategy?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n “There are three pillars on which Sys-Dat has built its strategy. The first concerns the development of vertical software solutions for specific industry sectors. Sys-Dat was born proposing solutions for the world of fashion and, thanks to a careful plan of acquisitions and investments, has over time embraced many other areas such as private healthcare, the world of manufacturing and distribution, law firms, the world of wine, ceramics and other sectors that need specific application peculiarities. <\/em><\/p>\n\n The second pillar is our commitment to partnerships with the world’s leading It players: initially with IBM and later Microsoft and SAP always with the highest levels of partnership. Concretely, we integrate our solutions to the standards of the major vendors, thus guaranteeing on the one hand compliance with what are the technological dynamics and on the other hand support to customers with offices located in various countries. <\/em><\/p>\n\n The third pillar is innovation: Sys-Dat is constantly dedicated to finding companies that have a high level of technological innovation, so as to transform technology into business-specific solutions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n On these three tracks we have built a growth plan that has led us, today, to be a listed group with great ambitions and prospects.<\/em><\/p>\n\n We continue to grow on two tracks: one organic and one inorganic. On the one hand, we expand our business and the number of clients acquired organically; on the other, we grow inorganically through the acquisition of new companies that can complement our offerings.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n Why did Sys-Dat choose the path of listing on the stock exchange?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n “Landing on the Star market of the Stock Exchange was not a point of arrival or departure but a step that will allow us to accelerate our growth path that I have outlined, thanks to the entry of new capital and, above all, a high visibility in the market and among customers.<\/em><\/p>\n\n The goal is to continue to grow both organically and inorganically, following a well-defined and structured path to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the market, in Italy and beyond. This approach allows the companies that become part of our Group, to fully express their value.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n What does this mean for the companies you are acquiring?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n “Without a doubt, all companies that join the group find a partner to support them in their growth by significantly accelerating it. We stand beside these realities to enable them to build their own growth path. This is a model that we believe can continue to give us great satisfaction. Recent data collected during the pre-listing phase show that the companies that have joined the group have doubled their turnover and sixfold their margins. This means that, thanks to the network, these companies, while remaining autonomous in operational terms, remain focused in their specific industry sectors, solutions and partnerships with the international brands they belong to, and benefit from the entire SYS-DAT Group ecosystem. <\/em><\/p>\n\n Since the IPO, we have announced three extraordinary transactions, and we believe we are only at the beginning, even as the IPO was built precisely with industrial growth in mind.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n What does your software focus on?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n “We focus on three different product families. The first is solutions that manage core business processes (about 70 percent of our business), which enable long-term relationships with customers The second product family is that of value-added solutions, solutions that manage specific, departmental processes related, for example, to the world of e-commerce, B2B digitization, CRM, analytics, artificial intelligence, RFID, so processes, again strategic, but not definable as core.<\/em><\/p>\n\n These first two families of products are specific to product sectors while the third family of solutions includes cross-sector services, thus without any sector specificity, but which are configured as ongoing services that we normally offer to all of our more than 3,500 customers (cloud services, cyber security services, outsourcing services, managed services related to infrastructure). All the companies that have entered and will enter the group in the future propose solutions that complement and enrich the markets in which we are already present or allow us to approach new ones.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n After its IPO in July 2024, Sys-Dat, continuing its strategy has finalized three different acquisitions-FLEXXA, GLAM and MATRIX Solution. Why precisely these companies and how does their entry into the group represent an opportunity at the strategic level? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n “<\/em>Matrix Solution is a Milan-based company whose solutions allow us to manage any workflow cycle within client companies. This is a new area of offering for us to be able to propose to our entire customer base and, in addition, Matrix Solution allows us to enter the advertising media market, for us a new product sector to which to propose our entire offering. These cross-selling activities take place through our sales network of about 60 people. <\/em><\/p>\n\n Glam is a Bologna-based company specializing in digital marketing and focused on e-commerce business development. What attracted us to her was her ability to develop e-commerce projects at 360 degrees: not only the implementation of the digital channel, the site, but in parallel the creation in companies of competence centers to manage e-commerce business, mainly business to consumer. Today, regardless of whether an e-commerce business is managed internally, externally or in a hybrid mode it is essential to have a partner who can accompany in the construction of the digital business i.e. assist the client company in figuring out with what business model, go to market, with what pricing, with what products, with what marketing and sales initiatives, in short in the whole end to end process of a digital sales channel. <\/em><\/p>\n\n In addition, Glam gives us the opportunity to be able to embrace new markets such as, for example, design and furniture markets.<\/em><\/p>\n\n Flexxa is an extremely dynamic company on Lake Maggiore that deals with managed services, that is, those that can be automated in infrastructure management. The value we have found in Flexxa is that they have included total automation of their services in their offering. Having us within the group other companies that offer similar services, that is, services related to networking, but not automated, we believe that Flexxa’s know-how is of great value.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n The next question starts from a premise: even in Italy, although somewhat more slowly than in other countries, companies are finally realizing that it is necessary to digitize, showing more and more interest in technologies to become competitive. In this scenario, what characteristics should a partner like you ideally have? Is it better to focus on specialization or versatility? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n “Both are definitely two key elements. Perhaps, on a percentage basis, specialization holds a little more importance because we believe that offering solutions targeted to a specific sector, which are derived from the sum of the experience and expertise of many similar companies, is an extraordinary value. Each company contributes its own know-how and needs, and this constantly enriches our solutions. <\/em><\/p>\n\n.<\/s> Here we find ERP solutions, Administration Finance and Control, management monitoring of production processes with MES solutions, etc., in short those processes that are indispensable for business operations and that can never be interrupted. <\/em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n
