Their software systems ensure real-time management of vital functions for a number of strategic sectors of our economy, almost as if they were the heart of so many businesses. From the most important luxury brands in the fashion world, to large retailers, via major names in private health care, the most established law firms and manufacturing companies throughout the country, the Milan-based SYS-DAT Group serves businesses of all sizes. And it does so by helping to make processes that are critical to the success of thousands of different realities smoother, safer and more efficient. Perhaps most relevant, however, is that this reality with 450 employees is among the few operating in linear continuity in a very rapidly evolving ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector, in which companies capable of surviving the enormous changes of the past 50 years can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

Born in 1977 in Milan, Italy, at a time when data centers seemed to be straight out of a movie about the future and in which getting entrepreneurs to understand the value and usefulness of management software often amounted to speaking a language bordering on the incomprehensible,

SYS-DAT Group owes its success to its ability to change its perspective from most other players in the industry. “While our hallmark is definitely innovation, which has characterized the growth over the years of the group’s operations, the other key aspect has been to be able to speak the same language as the customer and, thanks to specialization in certain commodity sectors, to be able to grasp the strengths and weaknesses of different organizations in order to propose ad hoc solutions developed not only on the characteristics of the individual company, but also of the peculiarities of the industry in which it operates,” explains Matteo Neuroni, managing director of SYS-DAT Group.

A vision that has made new technologies more accessible and functional, and progressively broadened their use to make business easier and more efficient. Thus, over the years, there has been a shift from “simple” enterprise data management programs to innovative solutions spanning From enterprise resource planning to customer support, to the analysis of the huge amount of data also thanks to theuse of Ai that companies have at their disposal today and at the cybersecurity.

Indeed, today SYS-DAT Group is the reference in Italy and abroad for comprehensive and integrated IT solutions, cyber security and artificial intelligence. “We have identified a number of areas where application specificity is key, and we have specialized to the extent that we are recognized in these areas not as mere suppliers of technology, but as partners“, Neuron points out, “so we don’t just develop software, we also propose new business models who use our applications, as if the software were the consequence of the innovation we propose.”

Put another way, the group’s transition over the years has led it to no longer just be IT consultants, but to also serve as business consultants. Add to this the fact that specialization in a small number of areas “allows us to propose solutions that many customers can’t even imagine, and which are the result of the contribution of 50 or 100 different companies working in the same field, whose experience contributes to the growth of our product in terms of functionality,” the CEO continues, it is not surprising that the systems developed by SYS-DAT Group are used by more than 2,500 companies.

Nor that it is now considered a key partner not only for enterprise data management, but also for essential parts of the process such as production, distribution, supply chain and customer management. More innovative than that.
