JUNIOR VMWARE SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

We are looking for one/one VMware Junior Specialist to work both at our operational headquarters in Reggio Emilia and at our manned client companies (Parma mainly).

The ideal candidate should be a proactive person who is eager for continued growth regardless of their level, able to work synergistically with their colleagues and contribute positively and distinctively to the entire team.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Microsoft or Linux environment, preferably in Enterprise environment
• Basic experience in managing a virtualization infrastructure based on VMware vSphere 5.x/6.x
• Familiarity with vSphere/vCenter virtualization platform upgrades
• Familiarity with creating and configuring virtual machines hosting Windows or Linux servers
• Basic knowledge in Networking (switches, routers, balancers) and its Protocols (TCP, NFS, CIFS, etc)
• Basic knowledge in Security (Firewall, VPN, etc.)
• Familiarity with Network Services such as DNS, DHCP and Active Directory
• Troubleshooting skills, problem determination
• Ability to analyze performance and tune systems

Knowledge of:

• Of other VMware products such as: vRealize Operation, vSphere Replication, Site Recovery Manager, Orchestrator, vRealize Automation, LogInsight, NSX, Horizon View, AirWatch;
• In the management and configuration of Blade servers of Cisco, HP, IBM/Lenovo vendors;
• In complementary areas such as: Storage, Backup, Database, Application.

• Good organizational skills
• Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken (B2-C1 level preferred)
